Background   In order to enhance user experience and security for all connected recording and management systems, Bosch has upgraded the cloud and service infrastructure. As a result, existing connections between DIVAR IP all-in-one systems and Remote Portal were terminated on February 15th 2024 and will need to be restored.   Step-by-step guide to restore Remote Portal connection | Summary   Download the new DIVAR IP System Manager 2.3 from the Bosch Download Area OR use the the download link provided via email. Delete your DIVAR IP(s) from your Remote Portal account Unregister it on the DIVAR IP System Manager's (version 2.1) Remote Portal connection tab. Use DIVAR IP System Manager 2.1 to update to the new DIVAR IP System Manager 2.3 locally on your respective DIVAR IP(s). On the DIVAR IP System Manager 2.3 user interface, go to Remote Portal connection tab and restore connection benefiting from the all new multi-account selection dialog. Download the new DIVAR IP System Manager 2.3 from the Bosch Download Area OR use the the download link provided via email.   2. Delete your DIVAR IP(s) from your Remote Portal account and the unregister it on the DIVAR IP System Manager's (version 2.1) Remote Portal connection tab:   1) After the infrastructure upgrade, the DIVAR IP system will appear as offline in Remote Portal 2) Deletion confirmation dialog 3) Banner on Remote Portal once system is deleted. 4) The DIVAR IP device will now be displayed as offline on the DIVAR IP System Manager 2.1 web interface. To remove the registration on the DIVAR IP's side as well, simply select the "Unregister" option.   3. Install the new DIVAR IP System Manager 2.3 locally on your respective DIVAR IP(s).   4. On the DIVAR IP System Manager 2.3 user interface, go to Remote Portal connection tab and restore connection benefiting from the all new multi-account selection dialog.     5. Re-activate the Remote System Management service a. Option A (recommended): Use the Click here link inside the banner to start the license activation dialog b. Option B : Select the DIVAR IP table on the DIVAR IP details page to unfold the pop-up menu and then go to the Services tab. Click "View / Edit Service" to start the license activation dialog.     Additional steps to restore previous setup   1. Reconfigure the system's name and contact details    2. To re-subscribe to the Remote Alert service, follow these steps:  Navigate to the DIVAR IP details page. Select the DIVAR IP table to expand the pop-up menu. Question   Can the zoom of AUTODOME 4000i & 5100i be configured in PTZ AbsoluteMove Mode (ONVIF related)?   Answer   The maximum zoom speed in the GUI is operational but is only applicable during "manual control." When the operator calls for 30x, the zoom speed has to remain constant. While the speed may not be as rapid as anticipated, it is essential to understand that this camera model is already operating at its optimum capacity. The camera function is designed to prioritize maintaining focus during any scene changes, including zoom. The perceived slowness may be attributed to the autofocus (AF) mechanism working to sustain focus. Question   What does the 'Lens rotation' option (FLEXIDOME panoramic 5100i IR) refer to?   Answer   This is not a feature of the camera for digital lens rotation. Physical rotation of the lens is explained in the Installation Manual (chapter 5.2), under the section describing wall mounting the camera and correcting the lens "top" view.   The "Lens rotation" slider can be used to correct for any manual lens rotations performed during installation. If the lens is manually rotated during installation, the slider value should be aligned with the rotation value shown on the lens. Adjusting this slider allows the camera to calibrate its Field of View in alignment with the camera's IR zones and the directional data from Intelligent Audio Analytics, ensuring optimal performance. Question:    What to do when ‘decoder offline’ message occurs during the FW upgrade from 54.7 to 54.8 (VJD-7000)?   Answer:   You can find the available firmware versions by accessing the below link: Bosch | VIDEOJET decoder 7000 | Encoders and Decoders (boschsecurity.com) Click on "Software" and you will only see the Firmware which you can download.   First, note that due to security concerns, basic authentication is no more supported. As a result, firmware cannot be uploaded to a password-protected VJD-7000 running FW 54.8.x or older. If the ‘decoder offline’ message occurs during the FW upgrade from 54.7 to 54.8,  try to use another version of Configuration Manager, or remove the password temporarily. Uninstall the Configuration Manager (CM) you have currently installed Try again with CM 7.62 and if it still doesn’t work, try with CM 7.51 (make sure to uninstall de CM every time, not directly installing the new CM) Add the VJD in the Device List Change the connection protocol to RCP+ (General > unit Access > Protocol) Try to upload the firmware. right click on the VJD> File Upload > Firmware > Select the FW file that you downloaded and select Open > click Start During the boot process, do no touch the VJD at all, it will take some while; just allow it to boot as long as it has to (1 to 2 hours maybe) Note: If it fails, repeat the process with a different protocol until it works.   ⚠️ However, after upgrading your VJD-7000 to the desired FW version using an older version of Configuration Manager, please make sure to always use the latest released version of Configuration Manager for further actions and usage.    Nice to know: VJD-7513: Error message during the Firmware upgrade process from v9.51 to v10.23 in Config Manager ...
