Question   Is it possible to mount DIVAR IP all-in-one 6000 in a vertical installation position?   Answer   Bosch doesn't take the responsibility for installations other than what is presented in the installation manual. Other method of installation is not guaranteed to work. According to the installation manual of the DIVAR IP all-in-one 6000: "Mechanical loading Equipment should be mounted into a rack so that a hazardous condition does not arise due to uneven mechanical loading." Question   How is VCA Object in field task triggered?   Answer   The field intersection trigger “edge of box” means the field alarms whenever any part of the object’s bounding box overlaps with the alarm field:    At the moment, there is no existing way to change the trigger from Binding box to outline of an object. How to update HDD (hard drive) firmware of hard drives used in a E2800 system?  NetApp® from time to time provides new HDD firmware for the various HDD / disk models. In January 2024 an NetApp Knowledge Base Article was created that needs to be taken into consideration as well. NetApp  identified that the drive model in the table below is subject to failure at a much higher rate than other drives shipped by NetApp.  NetApp has implemented a drive firmware fix that can be upgraded to mitigate the issue.   This HDD firmware is released and is to be used for the below HDD models.  The updated firmware is available from the E-Series Disk Firmware page on the NetApp Support site.  NetApp strongly recommends performing this upgrade as soon as possible to avoid potential disruption.   Part Number Drive Identifier Capacity Firmware E-X4131A HUH721212AL5204 12TB NE02 E-X4132A HUH721212AL5204 12TB NE02   Here also further NetApp information that is available for all customers with E2800 devices in warranty and NetApp NOW account:  https://kb.netapp.com/Support_Bulletins/Customer_Bulletins/SU544   Summary of the HDD firmware update:   Impact: Critical = Data loss and/or cluster data outage. NetApp® has previously identified that the drive models listed in the table below have the potential to fail at a higher rate than other drives shipped by NetApp. Due to the nature of this issue, NetApp strongly recommends performing this upgrade as soon as possible to avoid excessive idle time wear of the HDD that can lead to increasingly disruptive scenarios. This bulletin is a follow up to SU478 to emphasize the criticality of specific drives that have not been upgraded. While the core guidance has not changed, this message is being upgraded to Critical due to the increasing age of systems with long running drives   Bosch is as well strongly recommending to inform owners / end-customers to update all drive firmware for their systems using the all.zip file. Question   Is MAC address connection (Device Layer) end-of-life (EOL)?   Answer   Starting from July 2024, it will not be possible to commission new devices via MAC address (Device Layer). Running devices remain untouched until end of life of Device Layer, but new commissioning will be only possible with Remote Portal devices from then on. The support of devices connected via MAC address (Device Layer) will be fully stopped and set to end of life 30 th  of June 2025. Please make sure that all your devices are migrated to Bosch Remote Portal (Video Relay; requires firmware 6.40 or newer) during this one year transition period. Question   Is the Bosch Site Monitor App end-of-life (EOL)?   Answer   The support of Bosch Site Monitor App for iOS and Android devices will end by 31 st  of June 2024. Bosch Video Security App will be the replacement, which is available in the Google Play Store as well as the Apple App Store for download. Please note that in order to use the Bosch Video Security App, your cameras need to be licensed and commissioned through Bosch Remote Portal (requires firmware 6.40 or newer).
