Issue
The D7036 keypad displays "INVALID PIN" every time a button is pressed.
Solution
You must add the PIN used by the D7036 to the panel, and assign an authority level:
Enter program mode by pressing [0] and then entering the programmer's PIN (the default programmer's PIN is 9876).
Press [2] to choose Security.
Press [1] to choose PINs.
Press [2] to choose User PINS.
Enter a user number that is not already in use, then press [#].
Enter [9436] for the PIN and then press [#].
Press [*] twice to return to the Security menu.
Press [2] to choose Authority.
Enter the same user number that you created in step 5.
Press [2] to choose Medium.
Press [*] three times to exit programming mode.

Overview - Keypad Options Tab in RPS or RAM IV Diagnostic Mode. The Keypad Options Tab allows you to view the keypad message and buzz the keypad for testing purposes. Keypad Options Tab Fields · Message (Accepted value: 16 character string): This cell displays the character string for the selected keypad. If you wish to change the keypad message: 1. Double-click on the cell that corresponds with the keypad whose message you wish to change. The Keypad # Message screen appears. 2. Enter the new message (up to 16 characters) in the field provided. 3. Click OK. Click Send to send the message to the keypad. Click Cancel to exit the screen without changing the keypad message.
