What is the difference between the D623B and the D623 keypads for the D4412/D6412 panels?
Solution
The only difference is the D623B is the new Bosch design keypad with a Grey Faceplate for D4412/D6412 panels. See photo below.
Overview: User is entering passcode twice to arm alarm system. A five second delay between key strokes will cause the keypad to view the next entry as the start of a NEW passcode. Key strokes must be strung together with no pauses in between longer that 5 seconds.
Issue
User must enter passcode twice to arm the system. Same code is used for both entries.
Solution
The user is pausing too long between key strokes. After a key is pressed the next key stroke must be pressed wthin 5 seconds. A delay of 5 or more seconds will cause the keypad to view the next key stroke as the start of a new entry.
