Issue One of the zones at the panel is in constant trouble.   Solution   Need to have proper wiring connections.  Check the following: 1. Using 12 Volt Smokes, Terminal 1 goes to Terminal 8 on the panel Switched AUX Power. 2. Make sure D136 relay is installed for Relay C for non G-Series panels. 3. For 24 Volt Smokes, Terminal 1 goes to a D130, and a UL 24 Volt PSU is needed on Terminal 8 on the Panel. Switched AUX Power goes to the D130 to reset the 24 Volt power. 4. Measure the EOL across loop "A" Terminals 7 and 9 of the D125B card. Look for 1.8K Ohms for the D125B on a new install or when adding to an existing install. If replacing a D125 or D125A the EOL would be 1.5K Ohms. 5. Measure the EOL across loop "B" Terminals 6 and 8 of the D125B card. Look for 1.8K Ohms on the D125B card on a new install or when adding to an existing install. If  replacing a D125 or D125A the EOL would be 1.5K Ohms. 6. Measure the Voltage across  Loop "A" Terminal 3 and Terminal 4 on the D125B card. The meter should read 2.5VDC with everything connected. If the reading is 5VDC the loop is Open (not seeing the 1.8K EOL across the last Smoke. If the voltage reading is Less than 1VDC you have a Short on the loop. The short could be a smoke head latched in alarm, bad/dirty smoke head, wiring short, or reversed polarity to one of the smoke heads on the loop. 7. Measure the Voltage across  Loop "B" Terminal 2 and Terminal 4 on the D125B card. To verify the D125B is working correct you can wire the 1.8K Ohm EOL accross termainals 7 & 9 and another 1.8K Ohm EOL accross termainals 6 & 8. The Loop termainals 2 & 3 need to wire to the Positive Side of a 1K Ohm Zone. The EOL for the 1K Ohm zone is built in to the D125B. With FSM 5.6  the database.xml structure was slightly changed and FSM 5.6 is supporting only the new database.xml structure. This is leading after upgrade to a loss of the configured symbols (only the symbols, not the content of the devices configured on the floor plans). Therefore after upgrading from older FSM version (e.g. 5.2) to 5.6, the already configured symbols of sensors on maps are not shown correctly, they are shown are dots/circles.   Please note: If before executing the file provided below the application was opened and the sensor properties were edited by approving > at that step the symbols changed to the default symbol and the previously configured symbol cannot be recovered.

Issue What are the proper steps in cleaning a DS200HD smoke head? Solution Turn off all electrical power to the detector. Depress the tab on the two sides of the detector adjacent to the LED, and pull the unit from its base. Fill three (3) clean buckets each with 1-1/2 gallons normal tap water. NOTE: De-ionized or distilled water is preferable in areas where hard water with large mineral content is prevalent. Add one (1) teaspoon of dishwashing liquid (Ivory Dishwashing liquid only) to the first bucket and mix thoroughly, then place the dirty detector into the soapy water until it is completely submerged. Allow the unit to soak for approximately ten (10) minutes, then agitate to insure all dust and dirt is removed. Remove the unit to the first clean water bucket, submerge detector and agitate for 5-10 seconds to remove all soap residue. Finally, move unit to the second clean water bucket, and repeat the procedure in step #5. Remove from second bucket, then vigorously (not violently) shake unit to drain all water. Remove unit to dry area and allow to drain and dry by resting unit on its side. Allow unit to dry for a period of 72 hours before use. Caution: Air Dry units only. Do not use any hot air device or attempt to place unit in oven, as this will result in damage to the detector. Also wash and rinse water should be changed every 5-7 units to maximize the results.

Question What does it mean when the panel displays a trouble of "Dialer Answering Unknown"?   Answer   "Dialer Answering Unknown" is caused by the panel answering an incoming phone call. This will cause a trouble tone from the panel that will clear itself when the panel releases the line, this may take up to 10 minutes. If another event (Alarm, Trouble, Supervisory) occurs during this time, the panel will drop the line and dial out to the central station. To prevent or stop this set the Line 1 Ring Count to (0).
