What are the steps to default a DS7090 or DS7090i?
Solution
To set panel back to factory default perform the following:
Caution - This will erase all programming except for the phone numbers. What may prevent the panel from being set to factory default is a security feature called anti-takeover. If this is enabled the panel will not be able to be set back to factory default
Enter into program mode by the installer code # 0 ( 98765 # 0 ) is the default code, or short the little silver dots next to the last zone on the panel for 4 seconds with a jumper wire.
** Enter 839#, the beeper should sound for steady.
Short the same 2 pins, and the panel should be back to factory default.
** When the step is followed and a 3-beep error tone is generated while after 839# is entered. This panel is lock and will need to be reset at Bosch Security System for a fee. Contact our repair department a 800-289-0096 Ex 4220 M - F 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. EST

Issue
When does the D128 dual phone line switcher module indicate a phone line failure?
Solution
An amber phone line status LED lights on the D128 module when the control/communicator measures less than 25VDC or 10mA of current across the tip and ring of the telephone line. The D8112 and D9112 monitor the telephone lines for a programmable interval before indicating a trouble condition.

D5200 Programmer:
The D5200 needs to match a Data Lock code in the panel to access programming. Changing the panel Data Lock Code from the default of 12345 will prevent access.
Remote Programming Software:
RPS also needs to match the Data Lock code in the panel to access programming. Changing the panel Data Lock Code from the default of 12345 will prevent access.
RPS also needs to match the RPS Passcode (or RAM Passcode in legacy types) in order to allow access programming. Changing the default from 999999 will block RPS access.
