Issue
Setting up the duress code on the DS7400XI 3+.
Solution
1. Enter the program mode
A. At the master keypad, enter the programmers code + #0. Ie...9876#0
Keypad should display:
Prog.mode, the version and adr =
2. Enter a (2) digit report code in address 0322. Ie...032210#; this would be an example of a valid entry for the contact id mode.
3. Exit program mode
A. At the keypad press and hold the star(*) key for 3 seconds and release it. You now should be out of the program mode, keypad should not display prog. mode anymore.
4. Assign the duress code to an available user #.
A. At the keypad enter a master code followed by #0. Keypad now should scroll through an options menu.
B. Press 0 then follow the instructions on the keypad. A duress code is authority level 5.
Test the duress.
The system should be armed and the exit delay time expired when disarming with the duress.
Overview: Firmware revision 2.20 and higher limit errors when keypad programming a D2212 panel for D208 point expansion.
Issue
Why does the D2212 panel not allow keypad programming for a D208 point expander?
Solution
Before firmware revision 2.20, it was NOT possible to program the D2212 for a D208 Point Expander using keypad programming. Panels before firmware version 2.20 should be programmed with the D5200 handheld programmer or RAMIV/RPS download software.
Firmware revision 2.20 and above CAN be programmed via the keypad.

What is RPS Call Back?
Solution
RPS Call Back
Default setting is No.
Selections are Yes or No
Parameter Description
Using this function allows the control panel, after it has verified the RPS passcode, to provide an additional level of security by hanging up and dialing the RPS phone number to call RPS at the central station prior to allowing any upload or download.
Important: When using the RPS Callback function, enter a "C" as the last digit in the RPS phone number if DTMF dialing is used.
Parameter Options
Yes: When the control panel hears the proper RPS passcode, it hangs up the phone, seizes the phone line, then dials the programmed RPS phone number (see RPS Ph ). This ensures that only the control panel communicates with the RPS PC connected to the dialed phone number.
No: The RPS session is initiated immediately; no call back is required. The control panel engages in RPS sessions when called from any phone number and a proper RPS passcode is identified.
Issue
Panel is not sending restorals when the point restores. Log also has no entries for restorals on the point.
Solution
This is normal if the panel is programmed not to send restorals.
In RAM/RPS check in the following: Point Index Codes > Point Indexes 1-16 or Point Indexes 17-31
Disable Restorals
Default: No Selections: Yes or No
Yes: Disable restoral reports for this point. No: Enable restoral reports for this point. When this option is enabled, a restoral report is sent to the receiver when the point returns to normal after being in an alarm or trouble condition.
If you are using the 5200:
In the 5200 check under:
9112B > Point Index > Point Index # (where # is a value between 1 and 31 only)
press the white ENTER key
press the down arrow key (red keys on the 5200)
Repeat until you are at P## Disable Restorals
Default: No Selection: Yes or No Yes = Disable Restoralreports for this point. No = Enable Restoralreports for this point. When this option is enabled, a Restoral report is sent to the receiver when the point returns to normal after being in an alarm or trouble condition. Use this item to automatically put this point back into the system.
Issue
When looking at the history log on a D6412 or D4412, the history log displays user 255 key-switch, and the key-switch zone has not been enabled.
Solution
When arming with command 1, or pressing the all on key, and not using a pass code, "user 255 key-switch arming" will appear in the history log as the user that armed the system.
Issue
When programming the D279 keypad point index on the 7000/9000, G, GV2, & GV3 series panels, how should the type and response be programmed?
Solution
Program a type 7 for D279 (O/C Non-Priority): The D279 provides point arming and disarming independent of the area arm state. A non-priority D279 point arm state does not affect the area arm state. Point Response must be programmed 1. Program type 8 for D279 (O/C Priority): The D279 provides point arming and disarming independent of the area arm state. A priority D279 point must be armed before an area can be armed. Program Point Response as 2.

What 2 wire smoke detectors have been UL listed compatible with the D4112?
Solution
Note : The D4112 is not UL listed for Commercial Fire Applications. This control does not support multiple detectors in alarm. Do not use smoke detectors from different manufacturers on the same circuit.

What is the part number for the back up battery for the DS415i and the DS445?
Solution
The P333 Backup Battery is designed for use with both the DS445 and DS415i Photoelectric Beam Detectors. When using the P333 with the DS415i, the polarity plug in the battery connector must be removed. Pull the white plug out of the connector using a pair of needle nosed pliers before connecting it to the DS415i. When the P333 battery is used with the DS445, there are no modifications necessary.
Part numbers P333, DS445, DS415i
Issue
The panel does not report any alarms or cancel reports when a non-fire point goes into an alarm and then is silenced by the code at the keypad.
Solution
Alarm Event Abort (Non-Fire Points Only): assigns the abort feature to a Point Index. See Alarm Event Abort Window to learn how to set the Alarm Event Abort Window. If a user acknowledges a non-fire alarm point event by entering their passcode before the Alarm Event Abort Window expires:
The alarm event is aborted. Alarm, Cancel* and Restoral reports associated with the alarm are not transmitted and the event becomes a local only event.
*A Cancel window starts with the initiation of the alarm event and follows the Bell Time. If the user acknowledges the alarm inside the Cancel window (bell time), a Cancel or a Fire Cancel report is sent. If the Abort feature is enabled, the Cancel report is sent if the user acknowledges the alarm after the Abort window has expired, but before the bell time expires.
SIA: The Cancel Window is required for SIA Control Panel Standard for False Alarm Reduction.
The user hears a unique three long beep tone at the command center.
The text command centers indicate that the alarm was aborted on the display. It appears as a slow flash in Alarm Memory at LED command centers.
IMPORTANT: This option has no effect on Fire and Fire with Verification point types. The Alarm Event Abort feature does not apply to alarm events initiated by the ABC Keys, the Duress passcode or the keyfob Panic function.
SIA: Alarm Event Abort is required for the SIA Control Panel Standard for False Alarm Reduction.
Alarm Event Abort Window-Nibble 1034 Default: 30 seconds Selections: 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 45 seconds
Parameter Description This parameter sets the length of the Alarm Event Abort window. See Point Index Options 1 to apply the Alarm Event Abort feature to a point index.
IMPORTANT: This option only affects non-fire points. Fire and Fire with Alarm Verification points are not affected by enabling this option.
If a user acknowledges a non-fire alarm event by entering his/her passcode before the Alarm Event Abort window expires:
The alarm event is aborted. Alarm, Cancel* and Restoral reports associated with the alarm are not transmitted. The alarm event becomes a local only event.
The user hears a unique three long beep tone at the Command Center.
The Text Command Center indicates the aborted alarm on the display. The LED Command Centers indicate the aborted alarm with a slow flash in Alarm Memory.
* A Cancel window starts with the initiation of the alarm event and follows Bell Time. If the user acknowledges the alarm inside the Cancel window (Bell Time), a Cancel or Fire Cancel report is sent. If the Abort feature is enabled, the Cancel report is sent if the user acknowledges the alarm after the Abort window has expired but before Bell Time expires.
