Below you will find the steps which will help you to set up your devices. Diagnosis Autodome IP 7000 is not controllable from a DIVAR AN 5000 wired through a VJD 3000. Article requirements: BVMS Camera Decoder   Diagnosis VIDEOJET decoder doesn't show images of the cameras. image stays black. Solution Please make sure that: a. There is a user level password set on the cameras and the same password is set as destination password on the decoder. The destination password (General password) setting is located in the decoder's "Advanced" menu and the "Destination" sub menu.   Note: The special characters used in the passwords meet the requirements of all components: BVMS, camera, decoder The passwords are configured via the BVMS Configuration Client so that they are known to BVMS  Follow the steps below to view and change the passwords in BVMS Cc:  Open Cc --> Hardware --> Change device Passwords --> Check the "Show passwords" check box and you can easily see if the User level Password matches the Destination Password fields.   b. All devices added to BVMS are configured with "Secure connection" enabled. Question   How to avoid losing recordings when moving cameras from one VSG to another? This recommendation could be applied if the storage is overloaded, as there are several Onvif cameras running through it.   Answer   If you already installed the VSG service on another storage and you divided the cameras, the next step is to change the IP addresses of the cameras. That way you can keep them (disconnected) to the existing VSG instances while adding them as new cameras to new VSG instances. The old recordings are then available using the old cameras in the logical tree. After the retention time has run out, you can remove the cameras from the system. Important: Please keep in mind that you need an extra license for each camera for the period when it is added twice in the configuration (one license for each IP).   Another option would be to remove the cameras (the old IP) from the logical tree and leave them only in the first tab in the configuration. In this way, no additional license will be required.  But, this option will not allow you to see the camera constantly in the Operator Client. The total space required for BVMS logs is determined by two log4net parameters: maxSizeRollBackups and maximumFileSize. maxSizeRollBackups is the maximum number of log files that are kept. E.g. if maxSizeRollBackups is 20, then the oldest log file is deleted as soon as the 21st log file is created. maximumFileSize is the maximum size of a log file. E.g. if maximumFileSize is 10MB, then a new log file is started as soon as the last log file exceeded 10MB.
