Question   Do you want to configure Video Content Analysis of your device and "VCA: Authorization required" message is displayed in Configuration Manager? Find out here why this message is displayed and what you should do to fix it.   Answer   Please be careful if there is a red padlock next to the camera name, in Configuration Manager. This means that you didn't log in. When this happens, the message "VCA: Authorization required" (when the English interface is used) is displayed in the VCA tab.   Note: Please note that the VCA configuration can only be changed in Configuration Manager after you have logged into the camera with the service user or a IVA configuration user.   To log in, you will need to right click on the camera and then choose the option "Set Session Authentication..." from the drop-down menu list. After doing so, the red padlock will be replaced by a yellow exclamation mark, the message "VCA: Authorization required" should disappear and you should be able to configure the VCA without any issues in the Configuration Manager. The IVA configuration user can be used in Configuration Manager 7.2 or higher and not in the web page, according to the release note (page 7 and 13).   Also, according to the same release note (page 15), "in web browsers that do not support MPEG-ActiveX, VCA configuration is only possible via Configuration Manager. An info message to use Configuration Manager is presented, with a hint where to get Configuration Manager if it is not installed".   Question   DIVAR network 5000/ DIVAR hybrid 5000 supports configuration of 3rd party cameras through the ONVIF Profile S protocol. Let's suppose that you have  ONVIF cameras connected to a DIVAR network 5000 / DIVAR hybrid 5000  on your site and you are using Bosch Video Management System (BVMS) Viewer. Can BVMS Viewer monitor those cameras at the same time?   Answer   Yes, BVMS Viewer can display 3rd party ONVIF profile S compliant cameras, that were added in DIVAR configuration. As first step, the cameras should be added in the  DIVAR configuration. Then, the DIVAR should be added to the BVMS Viewer Device Tree and the DIVAR cameras should be added to BVMS Logical Tree.  After clicking the "Activate working copy of configuration" button   , these cameras will be visible in BVMS Viewer Operator Client.   Note: BVMS gets video stream from the DIVAR and not direct camera stream. 📚 Overview: Scan in your Network Manually option 3rd party cameras   Depending on the license type you have installed in the Bosch Video Management System (BVMS), you can add a certain number and different types of cameras/ encoders.  BVMS supports 3rd party cameras as well, but they need to be compliant to ONVIF Profile S. This article explains how to add new ONVIF cameras to a system that runs in full Bosch Video Management System (BVMS) via the Configuration Client. ❗ We recommend using Bosch Workstations and Servers. They are fully tested and optimized for Bosch Video Management System. Article requirements: BVMS installed ONVIF camera PC/ Server/ Workstation   Step-by-step guide   First, you need to check if the camera model and firmware are ONVIF profile S compliant. Here is the link to ONVIF.org to check if your camera is Onvif profile S compliant. Note that BVMS it self is also a certified Onvif compliant client Open Configuration Client and select the main window Devices Right-click on the "Live-Only" button > Here you can add and configure live-only cameras. You can choose how you would like to add your camera: manually or by scanning in your network.   Option 1: a. Scan in your Network: i.Select "Scan for Live Only ONVIF Encoders" ii. Select your device that you want to include into the configuration > Next iii. Fill in the credentials of the camera (username and password). If the camera is protected with a password, type in the password of it > Click "Finish" iv. Your camera is now added to the Configuration Client v. Don't forget to save and activate changes:      vi. Next add it to the device tree at "Maps and structure" tab Save and activate your changes. Option 2: b. Manually option   i. Operator Client helps you display the original full image circle of a panoramic camera, its image dewarped or you can select a point of interest of the image. Cropping and using ePTZ in a cropped image is possible in Live and Playback Mode. The Image window allows a flexible resizing of the Image pane that displays a panoramic camera or any other camera. This article provides you information on how you can switch the view mode of panoramic camera in Operator Client. Article requirements: Operator Client Panoramic camera PC/ Server/ Workstation   Step-by-step guide Check before adding the camera to BVMS what the camera its "Application Variant" is set to Full circle only > (Client side dewarping) > this way the dewarping needs to be done by the viewing client for example BVMS or (VSC) Video Security Client Dewarp > (Edge dewarping) > in this variant the camera becomes 3 cameras in 1, and sends out 2 already dewarpt streams + 1x Full circle. The camera dewarpt streams can e.g. be used for viewing applications that don't support dewarping For BVMS both variants can be used, but only the Full circle can be dewarpt in the Operator client. Therefore we would advice to set the application variant not to Dewarp unless specifically required, this because BVMS will do the dewarp, this will also save camera CPU. In case you have Edge-Dewarped streams, these can be normally viewed as a fixed camera in the Operator Client. The FoV needs to be changed outside BVMS for example via the camera webpage.   1. Open Operator Client Note: If your camera isn't displayed in the logical tree from Operator Client, please make sure that your camera was added into the logical Tree from Configuration Client. The steps from this article will help you in this matter. Below picture shows a Panoramic camera set to variant "Dewarp":   2. Select the panoramic camera > Drag and drop it into the Image pane (right side) If original full image circle is displayed and you don't have the option to switch the view of the image, you should choose another stream. Right click on the image > Select Stream > select Stream 2 (for example) When "Switch panoramic mode" option is displayed, you can switch the viewing mode of the panoramic camera. The following modes are available:   Circle view   Panorama view (initial view)   Cropped view   Select the desired entry in order to change the camera view from the Image pane area.   B) If you would like to select a specific point of interest of the image Display the image in panorama view Press and hold the CTRL-key and select the zone you would like to view. The mouse pointer changes accordingly Drag and drop the selected point to another Image pane and release the CTRL-key. A section of the panorama view around the selected point is displayed. You can create another cropped image from this cropped image with the same procedure. but you can also use the PTZ navigation keys to change the FoV To save your dewarped views press the star on top We recommend displaying maximum 10 cropped Image panes simultaneously.   ⚠️Note If you use the camera dewarp as application variant, the ePTZ function is supported in Operator Client only for circle view variant view. For Panorama and Cropped vie variants made by edge dewarping the ePTZ  is not supported in BVMS Operator Client.
