🛈 Port Forwarding
Allows remote computers (for example, computers on the Internet) to connect to a specific computer or service within a private local-area network (LAN).
In a typical residential network, nodes obtain Internet access through a DSL or cable modem connected to a router or network address translator (NAT/NAPT). Hosts on the private network are connected to an Ethernet switch or communicate via a wireless LAN. The NAT device's external interface is configured with a public IP address. The computers behind the router, on the other hand, are invisible to hosts on the Internet as they each communicate only with a private IP address.
When configuring port forwarding, the network administrator sets aside one port number on the gateway for the exclusive use of communicating with a service in the private network, located on a specific host. External hosts must know this port number and the address of the gateway to communicate with the network-internal service. Often, the port numbers of well-known Internet services, such as port number 80 for web services (HTTP), are used in port forwarding, so that common Internet services may be implemented on hosts within private networks.
When you request to reset the DIVAR password, the Central Technical Support team provides you with the unlock codes. The unlock codes received from the CTS are valid only for 1 Day. Moreover, please make sure that the date displayed on the Live monitor matches the date you requested the password reset.
If you have a DIVAR network/hybrid 2000/3000/5000 recorder and you want to connect and configure it, you can do it with the internet explorer compatibility mode in Microsoft Edge and you can use the system as before.
In this section you can find details on what information is required during the troubleshooting process to successfully identify a unit in terms of model number, firmware version and unique identifiers. What is also very important always for the troubleshooting is the DIVAR Service log. In addition to that, in some situations network captures from the DIVAR may also be required.
Alarm functions include local inputs and relay outputs, plus motion detection in user-defined areas. If an alarm is detected, the DIVAR can: send an e-mail notification and/or FTP push, sound a buzzer and/or display a warning, activate local alarm output
Check this article and find out what you can do if you are using one Divar network 2000 and you have a new Flexidome IP 5000i IR camera, but you cannot add it to the Divar because it is not displayed in “Detection” > “Device search” screen.
Find below Gmail SMTP settings which you have to set in your EMAIL screen of DIVAR Menu.
SMTP Server address: smtp.gmail.com
Username: Your Gmail e-mail adress
Password: Your Gmail password
Port (TLS😞 587
Port (SSL😞 465
TLS / SSL required: Yes
TLS : Transport Layer Security SSL: Secure Sockets Layer
What happens if you do not select either one?
If neither SSL nor TLS is used , then the communication line can easily become a party line for eavesdroppers, all data transmitted between DIVAR and e-mail account for anyone to see.
This Authorization Letter is applicable for all Bosch Security and Safety products & software when a password reset for them is requested by customers, system integrators or by a local sales representative.
