This document is specifically for DIP-71xx as it's the DIP which supports certain versions of BVMS (regular BVMS installer) and must be updated in a certain order. The document details how to upgrade from BVMS v8 to BVMS v12.0.1.

This document is valid for all VideoView+ versions. Only the release notes of the latest VideoView+ version are fully updated and contain updates for earlier versions as well.

According to the DIP Whitepaper, the unit supported 128 channels before upgrading. After upgrade to BVMS >= 11.0, having the MBV-BPLU-DIP base, the channels licenses limit is 256 channels 

Starting from July 2024, it will not be possible to commission new devices via MAC address (Device Layer). Running devices remain untouched until end of life of Device Layer, but new commissioning will be only possible with Remote Portal devices from then on.

Bosch Remote Portal provides the VideoView+ Service which allows to display live video, replay of recorded video on the camera, and a forensic search on Video Security Client. Further the Video Security App (on iOS and Android) can receive push alarm notifications triggered by motion in the camera image, for example. With the release of the DIVAR IP all-in-one 7000 gen4 (DIP-74xx), a new tool is available for health monitoring and log gathering, it essentially replaces SuperMicro’s SuperDoctor5; the ASUS Inband Tool. This tool operates as a service on the DIP and provides a webpage with hardware health monitoring options, hardware status details, and hardware information, as well as an option to export logs and run reports.

Let's suppose that the "Customer" user should see 3 cameras in the Video Security App. When logging to the App, he can see only 2 of them. Why?

The internal logs are directly located in the folder C:\ProgramData\Bosch\VMS\Log and then are named like "CameoSdkLog_Instance1.txt.0".  To activate the Cameo SDK logging, the "Init" button has to be pressed after setting the checkbox "Internal logging" and entering an instance name - then logging is activated with the given instance name (e.g. "Instance1").

By default the maximum number of shown results in the forensic search execution is 1000 and after 200 found results a warning message is shown. This article describes how to change those values.
