    OPC server is installed on the BVMS server OPC client software is installed (the client used in this article is Softing OPC Toolbox Demo Client), and the user can connect to OPC server that is running on BVMS server, but the user cannot send any command from 3rd party OPC client to BVMS system, for example changing the status of virtual inputs. There are no events coming from OPC to BVMS and the OPC client is not present in the list for third party integrations with BVMS

    One of the reason for this error when trying to access the VCA Tasks/ Metadata Generation could be generated because of the configured tasks which exceeded the Script Size limit (limit=2000 bytes) and metadata cannot be read.

    Log4j 1.2.17 is not actively used or called by the SQL Server or by the BVMS. This means that the vulnerabilities are not exploitable unless you install some additional components that refer to the vulnerable component. Therefore, there is no risk of exploitation within the SQL Server or BVMS environment.

    We found that there was a change in the way intelligent tracking worked after CPP 7.3 firmware v7.62.0005. With these changes if an object triggered an alarm that turned on intelligent tracking, the camera would not track the object. It would wait for another object to trigger an alarm to track it.

    Bosch Remote Portal provides the VideoView+ Service which allows to display live video, replay of recorded video on the camera, and a forensic search on Video Security Client. Further the Video Security App (on iOS and Android) can receive push alarm notifications triggered by motion in the camera image, for example.     Regular BVMS 12.1 installer will not run on any DIVAR IP all-in-one platform. The upgrade shall be performed via DIVAR IP System Manager application. Usually, we recommend to upgrade BVMS in steps. Each version should not be more than ~two years apart. This prevents potential issues in the upgrade process.

    The Image Stabilization cannot be used in combination with VCA tasks, with the various MIC-7100i models. Turning Off the image stabilization will solve this behavior.

    The internal logs are directly located in the folder C:\ProgramData\Bosch\VMS\Log and then are named like "CameoSdkLog_Instance1.txt.0".  To activate the Cameo SDK logging, the "Init" button has to be pressed after setting the checkbox "Internal logging" and entering an instance name - then logging is activated with the given instance name (e.g. "Instance1").

    In the Logbook, you can search for particular events, alarms, devices, and strings of events.  You have the possibility to save the BVMS Operator Client alarm logbook, before accepting and clearing it.
