    Starting from July 2024, it will not be possible to commission new devices via MAC address (Device Layer). Running devices remain untouched until end of life of Device Layer, but new commissioning will be only possible with Remote Portal devices from then on.

    Bosch Remote Portal provides the VideoView+ Service which allows to display live video, replay of recorded video on the camera, and a forensic search on Video Security Client. Further the Video Security App (on iOS and Android) can receive push alarm notifications triggered by motion in the camera image, for example. This article explains how to configure this service to display live video, replay of recorded video on the camera, and forensic search on Video Security Client via your Remote Portal account.

    The Virtual Assistant event is mapped to code 751 in the alarm transmitter. It is not possible to differentiate in the alarm transmitter the different scenarios on which an event code should be customized. The event properties sent from the Alarm Management application to the transmitter contains only if it's a VIRTUAL ASSISTANT or LIVE INTERVENTION etc.

    When a user decides to use SingleKey ID (SKID) or an integrated customer IDP (company account) as the authentication method for Bosch Remote Portal or Alarm Management a technical password will be required to login to other applications that do not support SingleKey ID or any other IDP. In the following, it is explained how to create a technical password and how to use it with an application like for example Bosch Configuration Manager or Bosch Project Assistant app, that does not support SingleKey ID or any other IDP.

    Possible causes and solution(s) Cameras which get connected from the customer's site to Bosch Remote Portal use an outgoing connection via TCP port 42000. Outgoing connections usually are not blocked by a router, however in a corporate network with proxy server, firewall, etc. involved, the IT department might open the needed ports. The troubleshooting steps below might help you to connect cameras to Bosch Remote Portal.   Known issues on camera commissioning In most cases when camera commissioning fails, the root cause is: No connection to Bosch Security Cloud from the customer’s site Blocked Internet connectivity (e.g. blocked ports by proxy or firewall) User belongs to more than one Company in Remote Portal The camera is already commissioned to a different cloud instance Known camera firmware issues Known camera date issue Further…

    Using the Internet Explorer 11, there is video from all 4 channels in configurator and event monitor, but audio from the camera is present only on channel 1. Since Internet Explorer 11 is EoL, this behavior will not be changed/ improved.
