MegaRAID Storage Manager software automatically rebuilds the RAID 5 on a DIVAR IP unit without data loss. The rebuild is a fully automatic process, so it is not necessary to issue a Rebuild command. You can also monitor the progress of drive rebuilds.
Once the chassis was replaced and the drives were mounted in drive carriers, follow this step-by-step guide in order to rebuild RAID 5 on a DIVAR IP.
The haneWIN DHCP server software implements a DHCP and BOOTP server based on RFC 2131. The DHCP Server is implemented as a native service for background operation, A Control Panel applet provides interactive access to the service.
The server supports automatic DNS updates for DHCP configured clients.

All DIVAR IP systems are preconfigured with default network, user and iSCSI settings.
By default, the virtual network adapter (the two physical NIC ports are teamed by default) is configured to obtain a valid network address from a DHCP server in the local network.
The haneWIN DHCP server software supports multiple address pools for dynamic IP address assignment as well as fixed IP address assignment to clients.
If one of DIVARs IP 5000 AIO is selected on a user profile, the Operator Client opens the site and works fine. One message is displayed when two or more DIVARs are added into the same Enterprise system.
If you already have a DIP 5000 AIO into your Enterprise system and you want to add additional units but you receive the following message, you can solve this by using the steps below:
"Server of configuration database is already in the server list. Remove either the server that is twice in the list or make sure that the configuration database is not cloned between servers."
In the past (prior to Windows Server 2012 R2), in order to perform NIC Teaming, we would have needed two adapters which were from the same vendor, and a third-party software that would make the teaming possible and present the OS with just one “virtual” network card.Now from Windows Server 2012 R2 and up, this is built-in and its hardware agnostic.
This means you can use whatever network cards you want and the teaming will work like a charm.

Access to BVRAdmin account is required to perform administrative tasks on the operating system.
This requires the following steps:
Load balancing is provided with respect to the bandwidth and the number of iSCSI connections and is configurable per IP address ( iSCSI target).
Load-balancing parameters are optimized for the DIVAR IP 5000 default configuration (JBOD). When running DIVAR IP 5000 in RAID 1 mode, load-balancing parameters may need adaptation in BVMS.
Navigate in the device tree of BVMS Configuration Client to VRM devices > Local VRM > [Context Menu of the storage expansion] > Load Balancing

DIVAR IP all-in one:
5000: The DIVAR IP all-in one 5000 is a RAID 1 and JBOD supported small tower office server for up to 42 channels with 4 internal HDDs and a maximum storage capacity of 48 TB.
7000 2U: The DIVAR IP all-in-one 7000 2U is a RAID 5 and RAID 6 supported 2U rack appliance for up to 256 channels with 8 internal HDDs and a maximum storage capacity of 96 TB.
7000 3U: And the DIVAR IP all-in-one 7000 3U is a RAID 5 and RAID 6 supported 3U rack management appliance for up to 256 channels with 16 internal HDDs and a maximum storage capacity of 192 TB.

The purpose of this article is to assist you with the creation of mirrored drive sets in a DIVAR IP all-in-one 5000 Recording Appliance.
This procedure should be performed on new appliances that have not yet been deployed.
⚠️ Before performing this procedure you must aware of the following:
• Performing this procedure on a commissioned system will result in none specific video loss
• Re-imaging the appliance after performing this procedure will result in loss of all data and mirrored sets
• Mirroring must be performed in “Disk Management” and not with the chipset provided in the hardware
• Creating mirrored sets will result in a performance loss of 20%
• All mirrored drives will be converted to “Dynamic Disks” during the mirror creation process
• This process can be performed on a two or four drive units

This article explains how to set an Unconfigured Bad Drive to Unconfigured Good on a DIVAR IP 6000/ 7000.
This step is required if the new drive is not listed under Unconfigured Drives. A possible reason for the Unconfigured Bad status is when a device that has not been removed properly is reconnected to the controller.
Was the following message displayed when you tried to enter the product key?
"This key didn't work, please check it and try again, or try a different key."

DIVAR IP 3000 and DIVAR IP 7000 video management appliances come pre-loaded with the latest available BVMS version from factory.
In order to make use of new VMS features and to attach most current devices, it may be required to perform a software upgrade, when a new BVMS version is available.
In this article it is explained how to do the initial system setup and how you can upgrade the BVMS installation to a newer version on a DIVAR IP 3000 or DIVAR IP 7000 video management appliance.
Initial system setup
Second revision DIVAR IP 7000 systems (DIP-71xx-xxx) allow for Appliance BVMS Installer packages to be imported directly during initial system setup. The following steps have to be performed in order to import a custom Appliance BVMS Installer package on a second revision DIVAR IP 7000 video management appliance:
- Download and unzip the Appliance BVMS Installer archive from http://www.boschsecurity.com - Copy the files Bosch_Appliance_BVMS_Installer_xx.xx.xxxx.exe and Setup-x.x.x.xxx.zip to a folder named “BoschAppliance” on a USB drive - Connect the USB drive to the DIVAR IP 7000 system during initial setup - Proceed with the system setup until the software selection screen is shown - Select the Appliance BVMS Installer version that shall be installed on the system
The following steps have to be performed in order to upgrade an existing BVMS installation on a DIVAR IP 3000 or DIVAR IP 7000 video management appliance: - Download and unzip the Appliance BVMS Installer archive from http://www.boschsecurity.com - Copy the content to a USB drive - When the BVMS default screen is shown, press CTRL + ALT + DEL - Hold down the SHIFT key while clicking Switch User (not Log off) - Log in as BVRAdmin - Transfer the folder that contains the files Bosch_Appliance_BVMS_Installer_xx.xx.xxxx.exe and Setup-x.x.x.xxx.zip from the USB drive to the BVRAdmin desktop - Double click Bosch_Appliance_BVMS_Installer_xx.xx.xxxx.exe inside the transferred folder. - Wait until the BVMS setup screen appears and select the upgrade option - Follow the installation procedure without changing any settings
Notes: - The system may request a reboot and re-login during the installation or upgrade procedure. - The upgrade procedure can alternatively be performed via Remote Desktop connection. - The software upgrade requires a system reboot which results in a short (~ 5 min) recording gap.

Possible causes and solution(s)
DIVAR IP all-in-one 5000 (DIP-5244IG-4HD) without the video card:
When accessing the Operator Client from the Kiosk mode, the camera streams displayed on the cameos show a view that does not match the view from Operator Client running from desktop (Under the BVRAdmin account) or Remote Desktop. The scaling seems to be off.
The DIVAR IP all-in-one 5000 (DIP-5244IG-4HD) is the model without the added video card. The production units of the DIP 5k AiO can run Operator Client locally on the DIP5k AIO without the higher end graphics card and display at least 4 1080p cameras @ 15fps as long as the I-frame distance was well over 30.
The units without a graphic card (like DIP-5244IG-4HD) should not run the Operator Client locally; only remote viewing, with the Operator Client running on a Workstation or suitable PC, is recommended. Doing it any other way may produce inconsistent results, see attached pictures.
✓ You can run the Configuration Client from the Kiosk.
✓ If you logon to the desktop with the BVRAdmin account, you can run the Operator Client from the console (desktop) on the unit. On this unit this is only supported for diagnostics/ testing purposes. This falls under the same category as the Remote Access to the unit.
✓ The Central GUI should be used for "configuration and operation management." It does not mention watching videos from the same GUI.
✓ You can attach a single monitor to the AiO, in order to run the Configuration Client from the Kiosk (Management purposes).
⚠️ When using a remote workstation/ computer, to run the BVMS Operator Client remotely, the workstation / computer should meet the hardware and OS (Operating System) requirements for such use.
◦ The hardware and OS (Operating System) requirements can be found in the datasheet of each version of BVMS Operator Client you use. Select the product family from the official Bosch Security and Safety Systems page, go to Downloads area and download the data sheet.
◦ Bosch strongly urges customers to use the driver versions mentioned in the following BVMS Release notes. This ensures that the software can perform its task reliably and the specified performance.
On the units with Graphics Cards you can run both: Operator Client and Configuration Client from the Kiosk and get consistent results, without any changes.
◦ Please also refer to the following Datasheet for the Models with and without Graphic Cards.
The attached .zip file contains a script to check for the credentials to run the script and set the proper scaling on the desktop, for the current user (even for the limited user).
It only depends on the version of BVMS you have.
If you have BVMS 7.5, certain cameras with a certain FW have been tested and are supported.
If you have BVMS 8.0, certain cameras with a certain FW have been tested and are supported.
For BVMS versions of 9.0 or lower, only tested cameras must be added, otherwise we cannot support new setup.
On DIP 3000 you can only upgrade to BVMS 8.0.
The version of Windows installed on it does not support older versions of BVMS, it is not compatible.
Recommended to use BVMS 8.0, the largest version supported on that unit.
You need to make sure that those cameras are on the list of tested devices of the version you have.
