    Collect Log Files and Configuration from BOSCH Cameras, Encoders and Decoders

    Technical support might requesting configuration or log files from any IP camera, encoder or decoder in order to analyze an incident.
    • Click on Settings / Configuration on the web interface of the device
    • Go to Service -> Maintenance (depending on the firmware, you might need to go to Advanced Mode first from where you can download the configuration and the device maintenance logs
    • For Pan/ Tilt/ Zoom cameras also download the diagnostics logs - Configuration -> Service -> Diagnostics, click on Start self test and copy the output into a notepad
    • In the System Overview (In Configuration/ Service) you can see an overview on the device


    You can also collect the device maintenance logs using the Configuration Manager:

    • Open Configuration Manager
    • Right click on the device, go to File Download and click on Maintenance Logs


    You can also collect the device maintenance logs from the VRM monitor (for VRM 3.50 or newer)

    • Open the VRM monitor and log in with the VRM credentials (default user name is srvadmin); by default there is no password, but customer can set one up
    • Go to Monitoring-> Devices -> click on the download icon next to the camera
